PhysioMRI at ESMRMB and SECOT 2026: from research in Girona to meeting with orthopaedic and trauma specialists in Córdoba

Last October, PhysioMRI participated in two major healthcare events: ESMRMB 2026, held in Girona, and the 63rd SECOT Congress, in Córdoba. Two events with different profiles, but a shared objective for our team: to bring our technology closer to healthcare professionals and gain first-hand insight into the sector’s needs. PhysioMRI’s participation in both congresses took place within the framework of the NextMRI project, funded by the European Innovation Council.

The 42nd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) brought together more than 800 professionals involved in magnetic resonance imaging in Girona, including radiologists, physicists, engineers and researchers. Under the theme Shaping the Future, the event explored the future of MRI systems, their evolution in clinical practice and the role this technology will play in society over the coming years.

For PhysioMRI, it was an opportunity to be part of an international environment specialised in magnetic resonance imaging and to share our vision for the development of low-field systems that are more accessible and adaptable to new clinical settings.

Almost simultaneously, our team was present at SECOT 2026, in Córdoba, where we were able to showcase our extremity MRI system to specialists in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. During the three-day congress, we welcomed numerous visitors to our stand, with questions, demonstrations and conversations about the possibilities of integrating magnetic resonance imaging directly into clinics and specialised centres.

Two congresses, two complementary perspectives and a very positive experience that will help us continue learning, listening to professionals and moving forward with our goal of bringing magnetic resonance imaging closer to where it is truly needed.
